Born in Scotland in 1870, Law arrived in Melbourne to take up his posting at the Royal Victorian Mint in 1890. His talent an an amateur photographer has left a rich visual history of his times.
The images in the holdings range widely from formal and informal pictures of his family to scenic landmarks, cityscapes and street scenes from Australia and around the world.
